Coffeeneuring #1: Port City Java

MG issued a “Coffeenuering” challenge — to bicycle to different coffee shops on various weekends.  That’s right up my alley, so I accepted the challenge.

My first coffeeneuring stop was a few days ago, in the middle of WABA’s 50 States Ride.  The lunch stop was in Eastern Market.  Food was plentiful, but drinks were limited to water. Aha! A fine excuse to get a coffee at Port City Java, at the next corner.  The “Port City” is Wilmington NC, which I didn’t realize was a hot bed of caffeine, but never mind.

My coffee criteria for the day were not strict — the coffee had to be iced. This one hit the spot, and soon I was ready to roll again. Hmm, 40+ very roundabout miles to get to a cup of coffee, and another 25+ to get home.
